What makes this part of the year especially bad is Chicago doesn't have one decent collegiate basketball team to follow. Northwestern has never made the NCAA tournament, DePaul has won about two Big East games (maybe less?) in the past couple of years, and Illinois is "underachieving" once again. I refuse to count Notre Dame as a Chicago school. They are from Indiana, I don't care how high they are ranked right now or how big their fan or alumni base is in Chicago. How can such a good cradle of high school basketball talent lead to such shitty collegiate basketball in Chicago? Pretty sickening, actually

February... Worst Month of the Year?
I can't see a reason it wouldn't be... Not only did all of Chicago have to watch the Green Bay FUCKING Packers win the Super Bowl after beating the Bears twice in three weeks, we are now in the dead zone between football season and baseball season. Right now, however, we have the luxury of watching one of sports finest athletes dominate day in and day out. This athlete is none other than Derrick Rose. With a few weeks before pitchers and catchers report for what probably will turn into another year of angst and agony for Chicago baseball fans, we now have more reason than ever to tune in the the Bulls, as they will be right in the mix of things in the Eastern Conference. Here's a compilation of Rose's top ten dunks, enjoy
